If you learn better by reading… keep going!
One of the things I really enjoy most when I travel is the footage that I get when I am out in my element.
So it’s really important to me to not only have equipment that will produce great quality photography or video but also equipment that will last through all my adventures and be very accessible for fast access and use.
My recommendation is that everything you choose to invest in to not only be of great quality but to also be convenient to use and to travel with.
Convenience will beat the quality for me.
If the equipment is not easily accessible and user-friendly, then I am not getting my money’s worth.
The most important thing to remember is that you want to be able to learn and use every feature the product has to offer quickly. During a fast-paced trip, you have to be able to capture footage quickly and with ease, right?
In my case, the products I used need to be good for both photography and videography. The content that The Social Girl Traveler puts out goes across multiple platforms and I need to be able to save and edit easily.
The following list contains my favorite and best tech equipment for travel, blogging, and vlogging.
Let’s go!
EVERYDAY USE AND SMALL TRIPS
POINT AND SHOOT:
The Sony RX 100V
- Small and compact. This baby fits in my purse.
- Lightweight.
- Shoots in 4k.
- My Favorite: I can spin the screen around so I can see exactly what I am filming.
MY OTHER GO TO:
Sony AS6300
– Additional accessories are easy to use and affordable.
– Lightweight.
– Easy for both photo and video.
– Can add a mic.
– Makes a world of a difference for both photography and video content.
Both of these cameras are perfect for everyday content and long trips.
HIGH ADVENTURE… MY FAVE!
For these trips, I don’t mind investing in more durable and high-quality equipment. It has to be virtually indestructible. All those adrenaline-inducing activities need equipment that will survive.
HIGH ADVENTURE:
Go-Pro 5
- Shoots in 4k (the best of the best quality).
- Waterproof.
- Compact.
- Easy to use.
- Virtually indestructible.
- It has amazing accessories like the Go-Pro Karma grip which is not only like a selfie-stick so you can hold the camera out a little farther, but it is also a really solid stabilizer that keeps your footage from being super shaky and unusable.
MOST IMPRESSIVE
DJ Mavic Pro
- Super easy to use and only takes seconds to prep for flying.
- Incredible range and quality.
- Folds up into one solid piece so it packs super well.
- Gets amazing aerial shots and unique video footage.
No matter what you chose to invest in there are so many resources to help you make the most of the equipment you have. Find what works for you!
