Soul Searching?
Tomorrow morning (Monday April 13th) I will be up at 6am to head to the bus station in Madrid, Spain for a 4 hour bus ride to León, Spain. I plan to spend the afternoon wandering the streets of León after I check into the Monastery I've booked a stay with for the night. (Yes, a monastery. No, I am not becoming a nun.) I've been asked why I am doing El Camino de Santiago and if am completely honest I am not 100% sure of it myself - except that I might be soul searching. Not in the sense that I would be 'looking [...]

I Don’t Know Why I Love London
Maybe its the sound of British accents over the intercom every time I arrive at Heathrow Airport that makes me question why I left in the first place. Or maybe it's those random cobblestone streets that you find yourself walking through and thinking 'wow! this looks old'. Or maybe its the Saturday afternoon pubs filled with people yelling at the TV screens as they watch the Rugby Match. I can't really tell you what it is, because I haven't figured it out yet. All I know is that I am came back and I love this city. (And no! I didn't fall in love [...]
How I Spent My Golden Birthday in Switzerland

You would think that buying a one way flight to London was enough! So on the 26th of February I headed out to Switzerland. For those of you who aren't aware, Switzerland is expensive. A beautiful country with wonderful people but nonetheless expensive! It isn't so much the exchange rate that kills the dollar, but the actual cost of living is outrageous. For example, a bottle of water is $5.00. So for someone who was on a tight budget, I [...]
Why I Left Home and My Comfort Zone
Recently I've been asked this question a lot...Why did I leave? What am I doing in London? A few reasons... 1. I missed London. I missed everything about it. The energy, atmosphere of friends and culture. Anyone who's ever lived in London, knows what I am mean. 2. I missed Europe. The ability to jump on a plane and take a 3 hour flight to Barcelona or a 1 hour flight to Switzerland, for only $100 (round trip). Walking into a room full of people and hearing 35 different accents and languages. I also miss the European mindset and culture. 3. I wasn't 'fulfilled'. [...]
